The Lijiang River is the cream of Guilin also the pearl in Chinese natural scenery. Meanwhile, Lijiang River scenery spot is the biggest in scale and most beautiful karst area, which intoxicate the numerous poets and literary men and renowned in the country. The Lijiang River located at the eastern of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Its rises in Mt. Maoer – the First Peak of South China, where is a fairy land with thick forest, fresh air and wonderful ecological environment. Lijiang River can be divided into 3 scenery areas according to the different scenery. The first one: Downtown Guilin to Yellow Cow Gorges; The second one: Yellow Cow Gorges to Shuiluo Village; The third one: Shuiluo Village to Yangshuo. The pleasure of visiting Lijiang is that varying characters as varying weather. In Sunny day, see the shadow of mountains; in cloudy day, see the fog of full mountain; in rainy day, see the misty rain of Lijiang. In 1982, Guilin-Lijiang River Scenic Area was listed into National Park of China initiatively, and the same time was authorized the national 5A level tourist scenic zone by national tourism administration. Scenic Spots Introduction

• Elephant Trunk Hill: Situated on the west bank of the Lijiang river, is shaped like an elephant that is dipping its trunk in the river.
• Zi Island: the sand island between the Lijiang and tributaries, situated on the other side of the Elephant Trunk Hill. Its named as covering yarn on it in rainy day.
• Cock-fighting Hill: the Chuan Hill of the east coast and Turtle Hill of the west coast is shaped like two roosters across the river, collectively known as cock-fighting hill.
• Clean Jar Hill: Situated on the right bank of Lijiang, named from its shaped like the half of the porcelain jar in the river
• Father and Son Cave: Situated on the interchange of Lijiang and Liangfeng River, named as that one big stone in the hole shaped like father and one small stone in the opening shaped like son.
• Wei Ferry: on the east coast of Lijiang, be famous for rich in horseshoes as fertile land
• Cattle Gorge: situated on downriver, named as the nine peaks shaped like the nine cattle

How to Go

After you arrive in Guilin Liangjiang airport, it will spend you 30 minutes to the south railway station by airport bus. There are many buses to Yangshuo. The price is about 15 yuan per adult. After 70 minutes, you will reach Yangshuo and choose the suitable ferry to a cruise.

When to Go

The best season for tour is Apr-Oct, however, the public holiday “1st May” and “1st Oct” in this period, which causes the peak of tour consequently with the tight room booking, traffic lam and high price.
